I was looking at this site earlier, I can't remember how I stumbled across it, but it is SO COOL. It's a comic called Spera, and for the most part it's written by Josh Tierney. But what he did was have bunched of other cartoonists illustrate the story and it's probably the coolest shit I have ever seen. All of these different styles, but the same characters throughout that are accompanied by a pretty consistent storyline.
I feel like I'm slightly biased towards loving this so much because of the characters. Pira is my favorite, she's a princess turned adventurer who is a tomboy and fiercely protective of her friend Lono. She has a glowing sword that kicks ass and sports a red neckerchief in every story. And then there is Yonder, which is some sort of fire demon that morphs between the shape of a flaming wolf and a hulk of a bearded man and the artists go CRAZY drawing all of his flames. It's awesome.
The site is highly addicting because there is so much content. I'm also in trouble because now I know of a bunch of other cartoonists that I need to check out. Maybe I could do something similar to this for my independent study on comics. Anywho, here is the site. Go check it out.
