SO. Detroit was sort of a bust. It was more about the book Bikenomics and how to change biking policies in cities and whatnot. I did enjoy a really nice cappuccino though, and got to talk to one of the writers about their dog and publishing. I don't know if I could get my book published by them, they seem really into how-to books and guides and that sort. But I'll give them a call anyway.
Got to talk to my contact at Greener Printer today, and she gave me some FANTASTIC news. I can get a custom size for my book! I'm fairly certain that I could fit my pages into the dimensions that they currently have available but it's nice to have a little wiggle room. She's going to send me some samples of printed books that they have once I get the packet of sample paper. AH! Such good news. And my contact there is the sweetest, which makes things all the easier.
SO. Snow day. Someone else from the studios posted a status questioning if snow days exist if you're in IP. I am under the impression that they don't. I'm going to go for a run and then (drum roll please) I am going to FINISH MY PAGES. The only question is whether to run inside or out. This is an actual deliberation I'm having. Mom called me out on being a wuss so it might be an outside run.
