Over fall break, I did one of two things.
And happy-and-I-know-it, I finished the damn thing. Once the bloody script is out of the way I get to move on to designing a graphic narrative, like page layout and panel design and the like. I love doing that, it's like playing comic sudoku.
But we had our small crits today, and now I have some new brain food that I need to munch on.
The biggest point made was the size of my content. I wanted to do the first installment in a series during IP, and work on the rest of it afterwards. But making third of a project is a little underwhelming. I want this piece to stand on its own two feet, and doing part of a whole won't do that. I need to reconfigure and see if I can fit all my content into a more manageable size. The goal being to make it more concise.
So now I'm going to go off-roading and just try and thumbnail the whole story I see without a script and see how it goes. Something I haven't done before, but I think drawing out the story might be more helpful than trying to rewrite it for the umpteenth time.
- Applied for stuff
- Worked on my script and thumbnail mock up
