More Inktober posts! Fourth is coral, fifth is sea, sixth is the great garbage patch.
A couple things I need to write down so I don't forget.
A. Line work is fun and all, but I'm not going to use that for the comic I don't think. I want to do the shading with watercolor. Which means I should do some of these lil' sketches on watercolor paper to get a better handle on things. In short: Line work for texture=ok. Watercolors for shading=need to start.
B. I need to draw different versions of the sea as well. To get a handle on the moods and whatnot. While also not forgetting to spend more time drawing my characters.
C. I'm including the the great garbage patch in my comic. I've been looking up pictures, and it's bizarre because there aren't a lot. The great garbage patch is HUGE, no one even knows how big because of changing weather conditions and currents. But it is known to be gigantic. And it's beautiful in a grotesque way, why hasn't some photographer gone out there and documented it better? Maybe my google skills are getting rusty... But probably enjoyed drawing those the most.
