Maybe you thought IP killed me. It didn't. I tried to vacation. It sort of worked.
Two really important things happened on vacation and one sort of important thing happened outside vacation, so stick with me.
First, my grandparents took me to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. That's the aquarium that gave me sea fever as a kid. I berated this docent with questions about crab camouflage and he ended up giving me a seal beanie baby. I don't know if he gave it to me to reward my curiosity or to shut me up. either way it worked. The highlights from this visit were several hours spent in front of an octopus tank, and an educational comic exhibit about jellyfish! MAYBE I CAN FIND EMPLOYMENT IN THE FIELDS I LOVE.

Second, we went to the Walt Disney Family Museum. More about Walter than about Disney. Did you know he started out as a serial cartoonist? MAYBE I CAN FIND SUCCESS IN THE FIELDS I LOVE. The whole thing was super inspiring. They had a super in depth exhibit on the process of creating Snow White, and I was floored. I got to see some of the original technicolors paints and learn about Ub Iwerk. Whose he? Glad you asked. He's a drawing god that supposedly could churn out 700 pages in a single day. Only takes me a day to finish, oh, you know, two lousy watercolors...
So after I spent over 24 hours on airplane travel (story/comic about that later) I came in motivated to get shit done. Meaning that in the last 48 hours, though I haven't slept or eaten or done normal human things, I have finished watercoloring my pages. I have two more to draw/color. And some last final edits and script to add. I'm shooting to finish by Friday. And I think I can. If I continue on this trajectory I can do it. I want to. I want to finish this thing with time to spare for more fuck ups.
I just colored 22 pages over two days. It's not
